Pip is an icing fiend. There are no rules when it comes to cake. Had an "emergency birthday" for me Sainted Irish Mother today. The scheduled event had to be postponed at the last minute. That left me scrambling to celebrate the day. Mom is 86. Currently enjoying many calls from Grand and Great Grand Children. Still feisty, still stubborn, loves to talk, always loved.

I hope you remember -- 'hard to do, however, if you didn't know in the first place, but now you do -- that on one's birthday, one is Queen/King for a day and Princess/Prince for a week. The Church celebrates octaves (8 days) of feasts, so why not birthdays?! You have lots of time to fete your mom! I hope she had a very happy day. Birth days are special! (Black Mamba, I also have a drink or two at lunch, but I am Irish, that is, I have a lot of Irish blood in me: Drinking and fighting -- well, vehemently arguing -- come naturally to us!)
