The BP-operated envi The Quad 204 project Involves replacing the bestaande Schiehallion Floating, Production, Storage and Offloading (FPSO) vessel with a new FPSO-which is scheduled to be installed in 2015. The new vessel will be 270 meters long by 52 meters wide and Able to process envi and export up to 130,000 envi barrels a day of oil, and store in excess of 1 million barrels.
Quad 204 FPSO project is part of a major re-development of the Schiehallion and Loyal oil fields envi to the west of the Shetland Islands. Schiehallion and Loyal have produced envi nearly 400 million barrels of oil since production started envi in 1998 and an accurate estimated 450 million barrels of resource is still available. The investment of around 3 billion in the re-development of the fields will take production out to 2035 and possibly beyond.
Hamworthy will supply two sets of inert gas generator units-including two deck water seals, two control systems, two inert gas cleaners and two pressure vacuum breakers. The IGG system together with the control system will be Placed inside a dedicated inert gas room to protect it from the harsh operating environment.
The contract for the BP FPSO follows on the heels of the deal signed Earlier this year with HHI, for delivery of a fully assembled inert gas system to the Goliat FPSO to be delivered in 2012 for deployment in the Barents Sea, and contract with an Earlier HHI for the FPSOs Usan and Akpo, to be deployed offshore Nigeria.
