Villanueva was born on 22 September 1954 in La Loma, Quezon City, the spouses Francisco and Vicenta Villanueva. He graduated the course History of the Lyceum of the Philippines in 1969. [edit] Career
Began to write plays and books for children, adding in the '70s and published more than fifty books, he was the author since then. He earned first prize in the Carlos Palanca Memorial Awards for Literature in 1980 for a short play titled "Conversations." wgb It's just that in many of his writings that he had been rewarded and catapulted him into Palanca Hall of Fame in 1995. He was first wrote for the series of Adarna. He was a former producer of the children's program "Enduring" fame in the '80s. He became the second director of a section of the Philippine Newspapers; Director of Diliman Review; References to "Children's Communication Center"; original chief writer of "Philippine Sesame Street Project"; and creative director of "Philippine Children's Television Foundation, Inc." It was the second professor Villanueva of the Philippine Department of the College of Arts and Letters of the University of the Philippines. At the same time the writing and teaching was also Villanueva of "Create: UP Institute wgb of Creative Writing," Hershey Art and Poetry, wgb "UP Writers Club," Union of Writers in the Philippines, and "The Writers Bloc, Inc."
Began his life as a writer at the end of the '70s, when he compose theater, children's tales and essays. He was awarded the Gawad CCP Para sa Sining (Literature) in 2004, and was appointed Best Artist Award in 2005 Chanselor UP.
